The Corporates

What does it mean to be a company? On an existential level we will never know, but legally it is the same as being a person. ‘The Corporates’ turns this idea into an animated sitcom. The storyline follows Shelly (Shell PLC) trying to greenwash himself before a date with his ex-lover Miss Green (peace), while also featuring App-Lee, FB and Nextlé, among others. Turning such entities into relatable characters with emotions and relationships while mixing truths with absurd possibilities, the sitcom highlights the problem of disassociation we experience towards the corporate world. Because the medium is approachable, it breaks down action and news, making it accessible to a wide audience. And after all, who doesn’t love a good sitcom?
