A performed film, a filmed performance

A performed film, a filmed performance is a performance that its sole existence is to document itself. We are governed by the architecture of digital screens and the logics of data scripts. Working with contemporary dancers in Guangzhou, the designer breaks down the accepted norms and behaviors resulting from the way we record ourselves and each other, imagining them as a form of choreography. The collaborative framework seeks to investigate our contested relationship with technology in an alternative context.
