Looking out across the sea towards the horizon can be a magical phenomenon: since childhood, Pepe Triginer Valentí has been mesmerised by the infinite number of sparkling reflections created as the sunlight hits the water’s surface. Wanting to recreate this sensation, the designer created a series of mirrors from stainless steel coated in reflective chrome. Each piece is unique, their organic shapes made intuitively and by hand. Together, the mirrors can be combined as a sculptural object that mimics the movement of the sea with the fluctuations of light in the space around it. Reflections are distorted by the curvature of the shapes, just like the water of the ocean.
