An interactive experience invites coming up with delay announcements as a way to question our reliance on institutions and systems.
In our daily lives, we often encounter systems that make us wait. The information provided during these moments of waiting significantly impacts our perception of the system. The project Thank You for Your Patience aims to challenge this waiting dynamic between the system and the user. On a digital platform, people are invited to contribute alternative delay announcements. These submitted delay announcements are then broadcast in a place for waiting, evoking a range of emotions from confusion to joy and frustration. Through this interactive experience, the project prompts a playful reflection on our reliance on institutions and systems.
